The Vacancy
Job Title: Lighting Technician
Working Hours: 45 Hours Per Week
To carry out lighting planned maintenance and emergency repair work in ASDA stores to pre-determined standards in an efficient and cost-effective manner, whilst complying with the laid-down Company Health and Safety policy.
Key Accountabilities:
1. To complete the PPM schedule within agreed timescales and to ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
2. To respond promptly and positively to service call requests from the Helpdesk and to assess the requirements of the job and carry out repairs as and where necessary.
3. To prioritise maintenance and repair work to achieve agreed timescales and response times.
4. To order spares to the laid-down procedures.
Qualities/ Experience:
5. Recognised electrical qualification
6. 18th Edition
7. Electrical - Edition Wiring Regulations
8. Health & Safety for working on Filling Station lighting (City-delivered course)
Desirable but not essential:
9. GCSE standard
10. Basic installation and repair of lighting in stores, e.g. cable glands, conduits, track, light density and spread, cable types and loadings
11. PC literate
The ideal candidate:
12. Full current driving licence
13. Degree of flexibility required. Will be required to stay away from home occasionally.
14. Willingness to work flexible hours. Night shift may be required
