We’re seeking a Health and Safety Manager to join our team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract, supporting a high-performing QSHE function within a dynamic facilities management environment.\n\n \n\n📍 Location: Ideally based in Milton Keynes or within 2 hours commuting distance to London\n💰 Salary: £45,000–£47,500 plus £5,000 car allowance\n📅 Contract Type: Fixed Term (Maternity Cover)\n🏢 Sector: Facilities Management / Building Services\n🧭 Travel: National travel required, including overnight stays\n\n \n\n🔍 About the Role\n\nAs Health and Safety Manager, you’ll play a key role in supporting and enhancing our QSHE systems and culture. You’ll provide expert guidance, conduct audits, support incident investigations, and help drive continuous improvement across the business.\n\nThis is a strategic and hands-on role, ideal for someone with strong influencing skills, deep knowledge of certified management systems, and a proactive approach to compliance and safety.\n\n🛠️ Key Responsibilities\n\n * Provide expert advice on QSHE matters to operational teams and senior management.\n\n * Conduct internal audits aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.\n\n * Support compliance tracking, incident reporting, and risk register management.\n\n * Assist in investigations of accidents, near-misses, and non-conformances.\n\n * Drive behavioural safety and cultural change initiatives across the business.\n\n * Support training and awareness programmes on QSHE topics.\n\n * Review and support risk assessments and method statements.\n\n * Prepare and present reports to stakeholders as required.\n\n * Be available for incident response and support across the UK.\n\n✅ What We’re Looking For\n\nQualifications:\n\n * GCSEs in English and Maths (or equivalent)\n\n * NEBOSH General Certificate (minimum) with 3+ years post-qualification experience\n\nSkills & Experience:\n\n * Experience supporting contracts or professional functions in FM or M&E environments\n\n * Strong working knowledge of ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001\n\n * Familiarity with statutory compliance and FM legislation\n\n * Excellent communication and influencing skills across all levels\n\n * Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel\n\n * Experience with multi-site service delivery and asset/work management systems\n\n * Awareness of environmental legislation and health & wellbeing strategies\n\n🌟 Why Join Us?\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a national role, supporting a respected organisation with a strong commitment to QSHE excellence.
