Management Accountant
Initially, Burgess Hill, moving to East Grinstead around April 2026
£45,000 to £55,000 per annum, depending on experience
Monday - Friday, 40 hours a week, worked 8.30am - 5.30pm

The role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, this is a busy and varied position covering all aspects of financial reporting. You will have the opportunity to support the ongoing development of internal reporting, contribute to system improvements, including the implementation of Netsuite, and build strong working relationships with key stakeholders across the business. This role is based initially from our Burgess Hill office, moving to our East Grinstead office around April 2026. The key responsibilities of the role will include:
- Assisting the Finance Manager with the production of monthly management accounts to tight reporting deadlines
- Assisting with the development of internal reporting and weekly cost centre reporting
- Supporting the implementation of Netsuite
- Managing balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals, prepayments and full maintenance of the fixed asset register
- Assisting with the preparation of budgets and quarterly forecasts
- Maintaining detailed P&L schedules to minimise the risk of errors and omissions
- Liaising with the Purchase Ledger team to manage purchase ledger cut-off
- Assisting with reporting requirements for GHQ and RHQ, including IFRS16 reporting and intercompany reporting
- Supporting the annual statutory audit and managing statutory reporting to external bodies such as the ONS
- Producing ad-hoc internal reports for senior management as required
What we are looking for
- Preferably ACCA or CIMA qualified, or currently studying
- Proven ability to work to tight reporting deadlines and manage your own workload effectively
- Experience of supporting a software implementation and driving process improvements would be advantageous
- Strong ability to prepare monthly management accounts with a high degree of accuracy
- Good analytical skills, with the ability to understand and clearly explain variances from budget
- Experience using standard accounting packages and a demonstrated ability to learn new systems with standard training
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills and working knowledge of Power BI
- Strong communication skills, and confidence working with both finance and non-finance stakeholders internally and externally
