Job Opportunity: Outreach Support Worker – Shift Lead
Location: Henry’s House, Chester le Street, DH3 3AZ
Hours: 8.5 hours every Saturday (additional hours in school holidays)
Job Type: Part-time / Flexible Hours
We Care Bespoke is committed to providing meaningful, person-centred support to young people with a wide range of needs. We're currently seeking passionate, reliable, and compassionate Outreach Support Workers to join our growing team across the North-East.
About the Role:
To oversee the overall support for the YP accessing the centre at Henry’s House, coordinate and delegate staff duties and to ensure the building is maintained correctly throughout the day. You will be responsible for opening and closing the centre as well as setting up the sessions.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting young people in a variety of community-based activities
* Assisting in the planning and delivery of fun, engaging, and inclusive sessions
* Encouraging independence and building confidence
* Managing and responding to challenging behaviours in a calm and professional manner
* Providing personal care where needed
* Keeping accurate records and communicating effectively with the team
* Coordinating tasks for staff
What we’re Looking For:
* Experience working with children or young people with additional needs
* Confidence in managing challenging behaviour
* A positive, proactive, and empathetic approach
* Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and school holidays
* A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle with Business Insurance
* Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
