The MA Drama and Movement Therapy programme at Central is seeking to recruit a part-time lecturer to teach, supervise, and work alongside the Programme Leader on the day-to-day running of the course. The role involves training in the Sesame approach to drama and movement therapy and contributing to teaching Preparation for Clinical Practice and Clinical Studies.
This includes session planning using the Sesame structure, teaching psychopathology, diagnosis, and treatment planning, aligned with the standards of proficiency for drama therapists outlined by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
The role involves leading practice placement modules in the first year, including planning, liaising with supervisors, and coordinating assessment and moderation. In the second year, responsibilities include running group supervision sessions for students working as trainee drama therapists in various settings. The role also involves contributing to the marking of academic work from other modules.
The role requires undertaking professional practice, scholarship, knowledge exchange, and/or research activities appropriate for a Lecturer.
An enhanced DBS check for Child and Adult Workforce is required for this role.
