Health Care Assistant, Dermatology Service - Paul
A fantastic opportunity to join our Community Dermatology Service as a Healthcare Assistant around East Coastal Kent area.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, while being part of a supportive and friendly team, working together to improve healthcare delivery to patients.
An ideal candidate would have previous experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a GP practice, hospital, or other clinical settings, with a passion for making the patient journey as comfortable as possible.
Following full training, you will support dermatologists and nurses in face-to-face clinics, assist with minor procedures, and may conduct medical photography clinics, completing questionnaires and taking specialized images.
There are 16 hours per week available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, with shifts starting as early as 8 am and finishing as late as 6 pm, based on a rota.
Main duties of the job
* Work within our Dermatology Services based in East Coastal Kent clinics.
* This is a part-time role working 16 hours per week over 2 days.
* Locations: never more than one location per day, including:
o Broadstairs Health Centre, CT10 2AJ
o Dover Health Centre, CT16 1RH
o Sturry Surgery, CT2 0EF
* Order supplies and equipment.
* Maintain a tidy, fully stocked clinic.
* Explain procedures to patients.
* Undertake delegated tasks from clinical and management teams.
* Provide patient care while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
* Ensure patient comfort, dignity, and privacy, tailored to individual needs.
* Support high-quality clerical and clinical services, including entering patient data accurately.
* Maintain professionalism, punctuality, and reliability.
* Adhere to confidentiality protocols.
* Record notes on electronic patient records.
* Proficiently use computer software, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
