We are currently seeking an expert individual to join this team in the role of Strategic Cost Manager. In this role, you will: • The Strategic Cost Manager role forms part of the Strategic Cost Management (SCM) team within HBUK; • The primary purpose of the Strategic Cost Manager role is to identify and drive sustainable cost savings to achieve both in-year and 5-year horizon cost objectives for HBUK and its businesses; • You will drive action plans to deliver cost efficiency improvements through operating model and other strategic change, working collaboratively across HBUK; • The scope may include multiple brands including HSBC, first direct, M&S and CMB and charges from elsewhere in the HSBC Group. Requirements To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements: • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent) or qualified by experience; • Demonstrable cost management experience; • Forecasting and budgeting experience; • Business partnering experience within a finance function; • Experience of building and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders (at all levels of seniority).
