Cover Supervisors play a vital role in maintaining continuity of learning by supervising pre-set lessons during teacher absences. This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, recent graduates, or experienced educators seeking flexible classroom-based work.
Job Responsibilities:
* Deliver pre-prepared lessons to students across various subjects.
* Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a positive learning environment.
* Ensure students remain on task and complete learning objectives.
* Record attendance and report back to the relevant teaching staff.
* Adapt to different school settings and follow school policies.
Cover Supervisor (CS) Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor (CS) or working with young people in an educational setting.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to lead confidently.
* A genuine passion for education and supporting young learners.
* Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
* A flexible, resilient, and proactive attitude.
* Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
