An exciting opportunity to join one of Britain's most respected and award-winning, independent breweries, where tradition, integrity and quality still take centre stage.
Why join Timothy Taylor's?
At Timothy Taylor's, we don't just serve food, we create experiences. Still proudly independent, our pubs have built a reputation for doing things the right way, not the easy way. That goes for our people too.
We're now looking for a passionate Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team on a part-time basis (20 hours per week). If you love working with fresh ingredients, thrive in a busy kitchen, and want to be part of a friendly and supportive team, this could be your perfect next step.
The role: Chef de Partie
As a Chef de Partie, you'll be right at the heart of our kitchen. You'll take ownership of your section, ensuring every dish meets our high standards for taste, quality and presentation. You'll support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in delivering excellent service, while helping to inspire and guide junior team members.
This is a part-time role, 20 hours per week, with shifts across Monday to Sunday. Flexibility is required to cover evenings, weekends and public holidays.
Key responsibilities:
* Cook and present dishes consistently to specification.
* Manage your section and keep service running smoothly.
* Support, guide and develop commis chefs and kitchen porters.
* Monitor stock, minimise waste and follow all food hygiene procedures.
* Work closely with the whole team to deliver a great guest experience.
* Contribute ideas for menus and specials.
Who we're looking for
We'd love someone who:
* Has experience in a professional kitchen (Chef de Partie level desirable).
* Is organised, reliable and thrives in a busy environment.
* Enjoys working as part of a team and has strong communication skills.
* Takes pride in producing quality dishes every time.
* Brings a positive, professional attitude to the kitchen.
Nice to have (but not essential):
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery.
* Experience in pubs or casual dining.
What makes this role rewarding?
* You'll have real impact - your skills and creativity directly contribute to the food and experience our guests remember.
* You'll keep growing - from developing your cooking skills to building confidence, we'll support your progression.
* You'll be part of something special - a team that works hard, has fun and takes pride in doing things properly.
Our culture
At Timothy Taylor's, we believe in quality - not just in our products, but in our people and how we work. We are professional but down-to-earth, structured but friendly. We don't believe in unnecessary bureaucracy, but we do believe in doing things properly - with integrity, precision, and pride.
