Our client is currently seeking to recruit a Learning Support Officer to join their team in Newtownards.
Pay rate is £ per hour plus Holiday pay.
The position is temporary, ongoing, working 28 hours per week.

About the Job Role:
The client is seeking staff to provide specialist disability support to young people requiring assistance while participating in the Skills for Life and Work, Training for Success, and/or Apprenticeships NI Programme.
This role also involves administrative duties to ensure records of support are accurate, completed, and returned promptly.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Core Duties
* Provide direct one-to-one and group-based disability support according to an agreed schedule of activities.
* Support the tutor by delivering appropriate disability specialist learning support for participants.
* Assist the DSS Co-ordinator with monitoring and evidencing progress against Performance Targets.
* Stimulate and promote effective, learner-centred independent learning strategies to enable participation and increase motivation and self-esteem.
* Maintain accurate and timely records to support ongoing monitoring and review of support, raising immediate issues or concerns with the line manager.
General Duties:

· Knowledge of supporting people with disabilities in employment, education, or training settings (D)

· Proficient in ICT, including MS Office Suite and SharePoint (E)
Qualifications and Training:
· Educated to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent, including Maths and English (E)
· Good IT skills for data presentation (E)
