About the Opportunity

Given the demand for talent in the energy market, we are looking to develop talent from aligned sectors and want to offer electrical design engineers the opportunity to move into the Energy Transition sector – you will be offered support and development if this is not a sector you have experience in, or just hit the ground running on exciting projects if you already know this market well!
Our UK and Continental Europe team is growing and we’re looking for a Civil Engineer who can progress in general infrastructure role to provide support to projects across Jacobs’ markets. This includes work on transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, energy storage systems, inertia systems, wind farms and advanced facilities for mission critical industries in the technology and process sectors.
We will consider technical professionals from most backgrounds, but we are especially keen to seek experience within rail, cable manufacturing, low voltage and/or medium voltage power.
Here's What You'll Need:
1. A degree in Civil Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline
2. Chartered Engineer status with a relevant institution or working towards chartered status.
3. Experience within a civil discipline and experience in delivering complex multi-disciplinary projects e.g. Water, Transportation and Buildings
4. Experience preparing design calculations, reports, and detailed drawings. CAD (AutoCAD or Microstation) preferred but not essential.
