You’ll work in our wonderful Lancastrian building, located in Manchester, Monday to Friday, 20 hours per week, 1 pm‑5 pm.
Job Purpose
The Host role is a pivotal position as the face of Bruntwood. You will be the first point of contact and will regularly interact with our clients and tenants. It is important to be approachable, love speaking to people and building relationships. Applicants with hospitality, retail or cabin‑crew backgrounds are naturally suited to this role.
Responsibilities
* Deliver a positive customer experience within the building.
* Build lasting, long‑term professional relationships with customers.
* Be the first point of contact for all customers and visitors in the building.
* Support and facilitate events and meetings within the building.
* Facilitate new customer viewings to support the sales process.
* Host the meeting rooms, coworking spaces, lounge and other communal amenities, maintaining high standards of presentation and food and beverage service where applicable.
* Manage own workload and flex between desk‑based tasks and customer relationship building.
* Collate customer intelligence and update systems to support sales and retention.
* Work as part of a wider team, engaging with customers, colleagues, the management team and other departments within Bruntwood.
* Be a role model to promote wellbeing in the workplace.
* Focus on continuous improvement, adding value, saving time and simplifying processes for customers.
* Apply energy, drive and knowledge to inspire colleagues and deliver the right service every time.
Qualifications
* Can‑do attitude and ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic, developing organisation.
* Curiosity, high attention to detail and a positive, motivated attitude.
* Strong administrative experience; manage the enquiries mailbox on a daily basis.
* Excellent communication skills and a personable approach to interactions.
* Experience in hospitality, retail or other service sectors.
* Ability to maintain high levels of energy and positivity throughout the day.
