Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled HGV and LGV Technicians to join our team. The successful candidates will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy goods vehicles and light goods vehicles, ensuring they are safe and compliant with industry standards. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge, as well as experience with various tools and equipment used in the maintenance of trucks & vans.
Duties
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
Perform repairs on mechanical and electrical systems, including fabrication and welding tasks as necessary.
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and equipment to carry out assembly and repair tasks efficiently.
Interpret schematics to diagnose faults and implement effective solutions.
Engage in heavy lifting and manoeuvring of equipment as required during maintenance activities.
Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding vehicle issues and repair processes.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an HGV or LGV Technician or similar role in vehicle maintenance.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
Familiarity with electrical systems and troubleshooting techniques.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective customer service interactions.
MOT Testing (not required).
