Benefits and Efficiencies Analyst - 32067
The Environment Agency are focused on building an inclusive workforce and welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds. We are currently looking for two Benefits and Efficiencies Analysts to join the Transformation Portfolio Management Office (PMO) within the Strategy, Transformation and Assurance (STA) directorate. The PMO is dedicated to creating a centralised portfolio that drives change, transformation, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
* Analyse data from PMO colleagues and project/programme managers across the portfolio to help set standards for benefits and value management.
* Identify, value, and validate project benefits; support embedding benefits management practices across the portfolio.
* Support the team in shaping and optimising project portfolios to ensure strategic alignment, informed decision-making, and risk management across change and transformation.
* Develop dashboards or reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel) and communicate insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
* Collaborate across organisational boundaries and build constructive relationships; produce guidance, toolkits, or frameworks to support colleagues.
* Contribute to development opportunities and participate in appropriate training.
Team and location
* You will be part of the Portfolio Management Office (PMO), within the Transformation Team of the STA directorate.
* The role is national with a hybrid working location; you will have an EA Office base.
* Some travel and occasional overnight stays may be required; smart tools are used to stay connected.
Experience and qualifications
* Strong analytical skills and experience as a Benefits Analyst, Efficiencies Analyst, or Business Analyst.
* Proven experience building and maintaining dashboards or reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel).
* Clear communication skills; ability to explain complex analysis simply and persuasively to non-technical audiences.
* Self-motivation and adaptability; comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
* Experience producing guidance, toolkits, or frameworks to support colleagues.
* Experience working with diverse teams and actively considering diversity issues in work.
