Job description
Aftermarket Fitter
Task Management
1. Strip, Survey and rebuild, PAT of LRUs to agreed engineering methods and processes
2. Complete surveys and repairs to agreed practices
3. Supports and conforms to Quality procedures to maintain compliance, by ensuring adherence to the defined processes and procedures.
Autonomy
4. Works with team to identify and drive productivity and performance improvement opportunities to support cost reductions.
5. Strip, Survey and rebuild, PAT of LRUs on AAR Pods.
6. Supports and conforms to Quality procedures to maintain compliance, by insuring adherence to the defined processes.
7. Have experience with Part 145 & 21G
8. Has an understanding of lean manufacturing processes and works with team
9. Contributes to the continuous development of the safety, health and environment requirements within the team's work area
People Management
10. Actively supports and progresses his / her own development needs to ensure task flexibility via the use of Skills matrix.
11. Has an annual and interim PDR's with Value Stream Manager
Communication
12. Attends start of shift meeting with team to understand the team targets, any key issues / problems and any other communications (e.g. visits, health & safety issues etc) Attend work scheduling meeting at every morning.
13. Escalation of issues to Value Stream Manager in timely manner
Requirements
14. Has completed a recognised apprenticeship or experience to equivalent depth.
15. Able to demonstrate relevant experience within the skill group.
16. Mechanical & Structure experience would be beneficial.
17. A wide skill base within a MRO base would be useful.

18. To attain approved operator stamp with scope approval relevant to job role
19. Understanding lean methodology and principles
20. To complete tasks on-time and to the required standard
21. To minimise job card variances
22. To adhere to SHE requirements of the area.
23. Co-operate with management to meet the employer's legal duties and take reasonable care of their own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts or omissions
