Job Title: Counterbalance Forklift Driver (B2 or B3 Category License ONLY)
Location: Shirley, Solihull
Pay Rate: £13.74 per hour
Hours: Fixed Day Shift – Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 16:30
Contract Type: Temporary to Permanent Opportunity
We are urgently recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver with a valid and in-date B3 category licence as a preference but B2 category as a minimum. This is an excellent temporary to permanent opportunity to become part of the team with a major equipment hire company, known widely across the UK, offering an immediate start for the right candidate.
Please be aware, only applicants with a valid and in date Counterbalance license, Category B2 or above will be considered for this position. B1 category will not be accepted
Key Responsibilities:
1. Safely and efficiently operate a counterbalance forklift truck (B2 category minimum and B3 as a preference).
2. Loading and unloading.
3. Moving and allocating heavy stock around the site.
4. Organising stock and maintaining safe storage areas.
5. Following all health and safety procedures.
6. Loading and unloading live loads, weighing up to 15 tons
7. Manoeuvring the truck through narrow aisles and tight spaces
8. General duties as and when required, stock taking, hygiene etc
Requirements:
9. A valid and in-date Counterbalance Forklift B2 licence essential (B3 preferred).
10. Minimum 1 year counterbalance forklift experience (essential).
11. Applicants must be confident and capable operating the forklift truck.
12. Proven ability to handle and manoeuvre heavy stock.
13. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
14. Reliable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
15. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
16. Comfortable working in a busy environment.
