Job Summary
The Registered Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering high-quality patient care. This role requires strong leadership skills, critical thinking, and the ability to manage a diverse team while fostering a supportive environment for both staff and patients. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in various healthcare settings, including acute care, long-term care, and specialized services.
Duties
* Manage and supervise clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care and adherence to best practices.
* Oversee compliance with healthcare regulations and standards, including HIPAA and NCQA.
* Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
* Facilitate training and development programs for staff to enhance skills in areas such as IV infusion, medication administration, and emergency medicine.
* Implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and operational efficiency.
* Maintain accurate medical documentation and oversee the management of medical records.
* Coordinate discharge planning and ensure continuity of care for patients transitioning between services.
* Engage with families and caregivers to provide education on health management and resources available.
* Monitor utilization management processes to optimize resource allocation within the facility.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete).
* Minimum 4 years' experience in a senior role within a children's residential setting.
* Full UK driving licence.
* Right to work
* Knowledge of behavioral health practices, dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care principles.
* Familiarity with case management processes including discharge planning and utilization review.
* Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams while demonstrating strong leadership capabilities.
* Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, staff members, and external stakeholders.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development in areas such as health coaching, infection control, pain management, or specialized medical procedures (e.g., catheterization).
