About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Uniformed Services Programme Leader to lead, develop, and deliver high-quality provision across our Uniformed Services courses. The role involves managing the curriculum, teaching and supporting learners, and ensuring strong outcomes in achievement, progression, and employability.
You will be responsible for planning engaging lessons, maintaining links with relevant employers such as the emergency services and armed forces, and supporting students to develop the skills, discipline, and professionalism required for careers in the sector.
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent organisational skills, and a commitment to raising standards, student success, and continuous curriculum improvement.
About the person
We are looking for a candidate with a strong background in Uniformed Services or a related discipline, supported by relevant qualifications at Level 3 or above (degree preferred) and, ideally, teaching experience in further or vocational education.
Applicants should have experience of working within or alongside uniformed services such as the military, police, fire, or related sectors, and demonstrate the ability to motivate and inspire learners.
Other requirements include:
* A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to achieve one) is required.
* Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills are essential, along with a sound understanding of safeguarding and inclusive practice.
* Candidates must also hold GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths and be confident in embedding these core skills into teaching and learning.
