About the organisation

This organisation is one of the UK’s leading specialist apprenticeship training providers within the building services engineering sector. They support over 8,000 learners currently on programme and work with more than 3,000 employers across England and Wales, delivering high-quality work-based training through a national network of training centres.

With a strong reputation for quality and employer partnerships, the organisation is committed to delivering outstanding learner experiences, strong apprenticeship outcomes and supporting the development of highly skilled professionals across the industry.

The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Delivery Manager to lead apprenticeship delivery across a South London region within the electrical provision.

You will be responsible for managing a team of Training Officers who support apprentices in the workplace, ensuring high-quality delivery across the full learner journey. This includes overseeing performance against key operational, quality and funding KPIs, while maintaining strong relationships with employers and internal quality teams.

This role will suit a highly organised and data-driven manager who is confident leading remote teams and driving performance improvements.

Key responsibilities

* Lead and manage a regional team of Training Officers responsible for apprenticeship delivery.
* Drive performance against key KPIs including progress reviews, learner progression, achievement rates and quality standards.
* Monitor learner performance and intervene where required to ensure apprentices remain on track and achieve timely completion.
* Ensure progress reviews are completed within required cycles and maintain high standards of quality and compliance.
* Use management information and reporting systems to track performance, identify trends and implement improvement strategies.
* Conduct regular 1-to-1s and team meetings, providing coaching, support and accountability across the team.
* Work collaboratively with quality and curriculum teams to ensure delivery meets organisational and regulatory standards.
* Manage employer relationships and resolve issues to ensure positive learner and employer experiences.
* Ensure safeguarding, compliance and quality processes are consistently followed.
* Support continuous improvement across apprenticeship delivery and contribute to regional and organisational business plans.

About you

The successful candidate will bring strong operational leadership experience within apprenticeship or further education delivery.

You will be comfortable managing large caseloads of learners through your team, using data and performance management to drive results.

Essential:

* Experience managing delivery teams within apprenticeships, further education or work-based learning
* Proven ability to manage performance against KPIs and quality standards
* Strong organisational and data analysis skills
* Experience using learner management systems and reporting tools
* Confident managing remote teams and driving accountability
* Knowledge of apprenticeship funding rules and compliance requirements
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Full UK driving licence and ability to travel within the region

Desirable:

* Experience within electrical or building services training
* Teaching, assessing or quality assurance qualifications
* Experience working with employer-led apprenticeship programmes

Working arrangements

This is a predominantly home-based role, with weekly presence at a South London training centre for team meetings and operational activity. Occasional national meetings may also take place throughout the year.

Opportunity

This position is offered as a fixed-term maternity cover until January 2027. However, there is strong potential for the role to become permanent for the right individual as the team continues to grow.
