The School and Role
This large, multi-form entry primary school in New Brighton, Wirral, are looking to appoint a nurturing and passionate Teaching Assistant to support in a KS2 setting. The role will be full-time, starting in September, and will be ongoing until May 2026 covering Maternity Leave. You will be supporting a group of children from across KS2 who have behaviour challenges. You will have support from a fantastic SEND team within the school and individual behaviour plans to aid you in the childrens development.
The school was marked as 'Good' in all areas following their most recent Ofsted inspection, and it was clear that children are encouraged to learn and develop through a variety of exciting and stimulating learning opportunities both within and outside of the classroom. The school's ethos is “Giving our best, achieving success” and they work in close partnership with Parents/Carers, Governors, Staff and the wider community to enable all of their pupils to reach their full academic potential as well as developing their social and emotional wellbeing.
Requirements
The desired Teaching Assistant will have;
- Experience of working with primary school aged children
- A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
- An ability to work as part of a team
- Have, or be prepared to undergo an Enhanced DBS check
