Opportunity available for a first-rate candidate to provide paralegal support to our corporate and commercial practices, assisting the senior lawyers and associates with venture capital investment work, technology-focused M&A, IP and data protection-type advice, and commercial contracts generally and other types of work.
Star performers may be invited to apply for a training contract after having proved themselves in the role for at least six months and shown commitment to the business as well as a deep interest in the venture tech space.
Previous paralegals have followed the same route to become trainees and then associates at the firm.
What we want:
You will be entrepreneurial, energetic and hungry to learn; you will be highly resourceful and adaptable. You will have a keen eye for detail and have a hunger to learn the basics and progress fast.
And we look for resilience in our people.
You absolutely must have an excellent grasp of the English language and have an ability to write clearly and concisely that is beyond the norm. We will ask you to evidence this as part of the interview process.
You must be a digital native, adept at using Word, Excel and software generally; we run a paperless office using a variety of different cloud-based platforms, and we are assuming that you can make technology work for you rather than vice versa.
You must be following developments in AI, understand the basics of how large language models work, and be able to rigorously prompt and interrogate AI platforms.
You must have 2.1 degree or better, but a law degree is not essential. Must have AAB or better at A level or equivalent. Excellent academics are a key requirement.
We will look at the status of candidates' progress through the LPC and SQE on a case by case basis.
If you come to interview, we'll expect that you have read about us online and have a firm grasp of the kinds of work we do and the type of clients for whom we work.
You should have looked at our Deals page and have read about some of the historic transactions, deals and matters that we have been involved in.
