Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities, placed on us as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams.
Role and Responsibilities
* Monitor compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England.
* Manage day-to-day correspondence.
* Record incoming documentation on our database to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
* Encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected.
* Be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers.
* Provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act.
Work Pattern and Team
This role is part-time (22.2 hours per week) and job share. We welcome flexible working patterns. You will join the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department within the Flood & Coastal Risk Management Directorate. The Reservoir Regulation team is nationally dispersed and requires some travel and overnight stays.

This is a national role so you can be based at any Environment Agency office.
