The role
As an IT Support Agent you’ll have a role that is out of the ordinary, providing 1st and 2nd line technical support via the phone, self-service portal and in person requests assisting in helping users solve the problem within an exciting environment.
Day-to-day, you’ll:
• Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support via phone, self-service portal and in person requests.
• Log, update and manage all calls relating to QinetiQ support of all software and hardware in the operational environment.
• You will manage and safeguard the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the company and customer information.
• You will liaise with third party suppliers handling QinetiQ VIP support calls in a professional manner.
This role is full-time based on-site in Farnborough, 37 hours/5 days a week Monday to Friday with staggered shifts between 6am to 8/8:30pm. This will consist of on-call support out of core business hours (including weekends and Bank Holidays) – where you will be expected to complete on-call for at least 1 week in every 6 weeks.
Essential experience of the IT Support Agent
• The ability to be able to work autonomously resolving and supporting any level of queries.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to speak with all levels of seniority.
• The ability to be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and other IT applications.
• Proven problem solving abilities.
Qualifications for the IT Support Agent
• To have attained or worked towards a Level 3 NVQ or a CompTIA certification or provide evidence of recent relevant experience in a similar role.
