Derby College Group (DCG) has an exciting and rare opportunity for a full-time Teacher to join our Media Team at Joseph Wright Centre. The department offers vocationally based qualifications at levels 1, 2, and 3. The Role
Within this role, you will be pivotal to the success of the Creative & Digital Media provision at the college, which delivers to students from across the East Midlands. You will join a dedicated teaching team passionate about the subject.
Through engaging teaching, learning, and assessment, you will ensure students gain an in-depth understanding of essential (and desirable) topics such as:
* UI/UX Design
* Figma
* Graphic Design Principles
* Adobe Illustrator
* Digital Marketing
* Social Media Marketing
* Commercial Branding
About You
You will have teaching experience in Digital Media or a related industry area and be a forward-thinking, innovative teacher with students at the heart of your work. You will possess practical expertise in digital media principles such as UI/UX design, graphic design, digital marketing, and motion graphics, with knowledge of each stage of production.
You will be fully confident with Adobe Creative Cloud suite (Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign, Photoshop) and Figma (or similar), demonstrating these skills through effective planning, teaching, learning, and assessment.
