A growing Ecommerce Retailer in the Greater Manchester area. They sell a variety of trend-led products for the home and apparel and are seeking to add new product areas. Due to strong trading figures and company investment, they are looking to add another Assistant Buyer to their Buying Team.
Job Description
* Assist the buyer with all administrative tasks, including:
* Overseeing and updating the critical path, chasing samples from suppliers, and ensuring orders are on track for on-time delivery.
* Liaise with Far East factories and maintain supplier relationships to meet deadlines.
* Organise and approve supplier submissions, including lab dips, trims, prints, fabrics, and proto samples.
* Develop a strong understanding of the target customer, conducting market research to ensure product relevance and appropriate pricing.
* Assist with product development, contributing new ideas relevant to the target market.
* Liaise with the studio team to ensure all new products are booked in for photoshoots.
* Coordinate with the Ecommerce team to support campaigns and photoshoots.
* Respond to supplier queries and ensure all administrative processes are completed before shipping.
* Stay updated on new trends, colours, and fabrics.
* Conduct in-store and online competitor analysis and SWOT reports to support product development and buying decisions.
The Successful Applicant
* Knowledge and experience in Fashion / Apparel Buying
* Experience as a Buying Admin Assistant, Senior Buyer’s Admin Assistant, or similar role
* Excellent administrative, communication, and organisational skills
* A keen interest in fashion/apparel and a customer-first approach
* Driven and motivated
