Head of Inspection and Repair Services (IMRS) - Submarines. Full time - Hybrid. Derby (Sinfin IMRS).
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Rolls-Royce Submarines Services Delivery Business Unit to lead the Inspection Maintenance & Repair Services (IMRS) organisation. This is a critical capability which supports the UK Royal Navy by deploying engineering capabilities to inspect and repair Nuclear Steam Raising Plant components.
What You Will Be Doing
As a Senior Manager you will have people management responsibilities for a multi-disciplinary team of managers, as well as direct responsibility and accountability for delivering the IMRS outputs of the team.
Key Accountabilities Include
* Leading a team of multi-disciplinary engineers to deliver NDE solutions including systems, mechanical and electrical design
* Being a point of contact for programme areas regarding project progress updates, technical discussion, and problem resolution
* Managing resources and tasks to deliver a detailed programme while maintaining cost and scope
* Accountable for NDE research and developments in advanced technology insertion into tools and techniques
Who We’re Looking For
Being a part of Rolls-Royce, you’ll know we put safety first and act with integrity. This role suits a highly skilled Engineer with experience on cradle-to-grave design projects for bespoke NDE processes, techniques and equipment.
* Degree level education in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
* Driven with planning, risk management and requirements capture and management
* Design and development experience, preferably bespoke NDE equipment and related technical documentation
* Strong understanding of engineering principles, including design for assembly and maintenance and health and safety
* Excellent knowledge of NDE solutions, products, systems, their functionality and applications

Requirements and Additional Information
Security Check clearance is required to work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines business. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if you do not currently have it. This role is restricted to UK nationals or, in MoD approved cases, dual nationals.
