As our Organisation Effectiveness Lead, you’ll be at the heart of designing and delivering a lean, efficient, and future-ready operating model that empowers our people and drives performance.
This is a rare opportunity to influence the strategic direction of a vital utility provider, ensuring our organisation is equipped with the right structures, systems, and insights to meet today’s challenges and tomorrow’s ambitions.
You’ll lead the evolution of our operating model, ensuring it’s aligned with business priorities and future growth. From workforce planning and HR transformation to systems innovation and data governance, you’ll be the driving force behind how Southern Water works — and how we improve.
You will be accountable for the following:
1. Strategic Design: Shape and evolve the operating model and organisational structures to deliver business priorities.
2. Workforce Planning: Ensure capacity and future skills are aligned with long-term strategic needs.
3. Transformation Leadership: Deliver HR change programmes that enhance effectiveness and support cultural and operational transformation.
4. Efficiency Champion: Drive simplification, remove duplication, and streamline processes across the organisation.
5. Digital Enablement: Lead the development of HR systems that enhance colleague experience and align with our digital strategy.
6. Insight & Intelligence: Own people data, reporting and analytics — from Board-level insights to internal scorecards.
7. Governance & Standards: Define and uphold consistent measurement standards across the People Team.
8. Benchmarking Excellence: Ensure our organisational effectiveness and reporting are competitive and compliant with sector standards.
9. Architecture Oversight: Govern job architecture and grading frameworks to ensure fairness and consistency.
10. Team Leadership: Build capability and resilience within the Organisational Effectiveness team to deliver at pace.
11. Change Engagement: Inspire leaders and colleagues to adopt new ways of working and embed lasting change.
