Key Responsibilities - Operate a mobile crane to manufacturer specifications and Ainscough safety standards - Comply with all road traffic regulations - Ensure correct and consistent use of PPE - Set, check, and operate the rated capacity limiter and rated capacity indicator - Apply safe manual handling techniques, including the use of outrigger pans - Use outriggers correctly and ensure they are deployed on level ground - Liaise with the Site Manager or Project Manager upon arrival - Maintain professional judgement and resist pressure to undertake unsafe operations - Interpret and apply information from duty charts, reports, and crane documentation - Monitor and respond appropriately to wind and other climatic conditions - Take immediate action to avoid dangerous situations, including stopping operations when required - Safely access and exit the crane using ladders and grab rails - Undertake training on specific crane models; maintain familiarity with rigging, maintenance procedures, and documentation - Proactively identify opportunities for operational improvement Person Specification Essential Qualifications & Experience - Full UK Drivers Licence - HGV Class C Licence - In-dateBlue CPCS cardwith Mobile Crane Operator authorisation - Proven experience operating large mobile cranes, ideally up to 150t - Strong understanding of the impact of wind and climatic conditions on crane operations - Working knowledge of road traffic regulations Skills & Abilities - Demonstrates safe working practices - Provides a professional, friendly, and helpful service to Ainscough customers Ainscough Crane Hire is an Equal Opportunities Employer.
