We are seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to join a globally renowned defence and cyber security company in Cheltenham. We are looking for top-tier talent to contribute to high-impact projects in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment. Due to the nature of our work, active enhanced DV clearance is essential.
What Will You Be Doing?
As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining mission-critical systems as they are rehosted into AWS. Your responsibilities will include:
* Administering Linux-based systems, databases, and applications
* Troubleshooting IP networking systems
* Automating system deployment and maintenance using Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management tools
* Driving innovation by continuously expanding your skills and obtaining relevant certifications
* Leading and mentoring teams, ensuring best practices in DevOps and cloud adoption
What Are We Looking For?
* Active enhanced DV clearance
* Strong experience in designing, deploying, and supporting Linux-based solutions using containerisation, Infrastructure as Code, and DevOps tools
* Proven leadership and stakeholder engagement skills
* Experience in automating tasks using Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, or Python
* Hands-on experience with containers such as Docker or VMware
