to provide clinical advice to our Advance Paramedics in Critical Care as and when clinically required
Main duties of the job
To be available throughout your period of on call to take telephone calls, as needed, and respond to a Command location if required during a serious or major incident

·Arearegisteredmedicalpractitioner withaminimum of oneyears’experienceatconsultantgrade or equivalent.
·Havepre-hospitalcareexperiencethroughPreHospitalEmergencyMedicinetrainingor responding as part of a BASICS Immediate Care scheme.
·Haveexperienceofproactiveengagementwithinternalandexternalstakeholders.
·Areexperiencedinandcomfortableprovidingstrategicleveladviceinahighlypressurised environment.
·Areanoutstandingcommunicatorandproblemsolverwhounderstandstheimportanceof emotional intelligence.
·Understandthepre-hospitalemergencymedicalenvironment,masscasualtymanagementand the NHS ambulance services’ core standards for Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR).

Qualifications
Essential criteria
1. Registered Consultant or equivalent grade with a current licence to practice
2. Nationally accredited Incident Management qualification
3. Pre-Hospital Emergency Medicine qualification (minimum DipIMC or equivalent) and prehospital clinical experience through PHEM and/or BASICS
4. Appropriate professional indemnity

5. Evidence of clinical management, leadership skills and performing the role of strategic advisor within the UK Health System
6. Formal Support of your host Trust, guaranteeing availability when on call
Skills and Knowledge

7. Ability to demonstrate an understanding of the East of England Ambulance Service Clinical Safety Plan and National Resource Escalation Action Plans
8. Understanding of the role of the Specialist and Advanced Paramedic in Critical Care and current skill sets
9. A commitment to undertake, and satisfactorily pass, additional training as required by the East of England Ambulance Service, specifically relating to Major Incident Management
Special Requirements

10. Be able to fully participate as part of a 24/7 on call team
11. Have access to own transport, with business use insurance, and be able to travel, without delay, to co-locate with the Strategic Commander during an incident
