Job Title: Goods In and Parts Person
Hourly Rate: Up to £13ph
Location: Kent
Reporting to the Parts & Showroom Manager, you will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the goods-in area and the handling of all parts and showroom-related deliveries. You will also support retail sales within the showroom, covering Parts, Hardware, Clothing, and Groundcare Machinery.
As a customer-facing representative of the business, you will consistently deliver a high standard of customer service, responding to product and service enquiries both in person and over the telephone. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and being part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily goods-in operations, including receiving, checking, and distributing deliveries
Unload and load internal lorries as required
Process supplier parcels and unpack branch stock deliveries
Transfer stock into stores and the showroom accurately
Maintain customer delivery and collection shelves
Support workshop technicians with parts identification
Assist with retail sales across parts, hardware, clothing, and groundcare machinery
Handle cash, cheque, and card payments with accuracy
Maintain and manage showroom stock levels
Carry out stock checks when required
Ensure the showroom is well presented and stock is displayed correctly
Deliver efficient, friendly, and professional customer service at all times
Skills & Experience Required
Knowledge of agricultural and horticultural equipment and parts (advantageous)
Previous retail or showroom experience (desirable)
Confident communicator, both face to face and over the phone
