Job Title: Goods In and Parts Person
Hourly Rate: Up to £13ph
Location: Kent
Reporting to the Parts & Showroom Manager, you will play a key role in the smooth day-to-day operation of the goods-in area and the handling of all parts and showroom-related deliveries. You will also support retail sales within the showroom, covering Parts, Hardware, Clothing, and Groundcare Machinery.
As a customer-facing representative of the business, you will consistently deliver a high standard of customer service, responding to product and service enquiries both in person and over the telephone. This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and being part of a collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage daily goods-in operations, including receiving, checking, and distributing deliveries
* Unload and load internal lorries as required
* Process supplier parcels and unpack branch stock deliveries
* Transfer stock into stores and the showroom accurately
* Maintain customer delivery and collection shelves
* Support workshop technicians with parts identification
* Assist with retail sales across parts, hardware, clothing, and groundcare machinery
* Handle cash, cheque, and card payments with accuracy
* Maintain and manage showroom stock levels
* Carry out stock checks when required
* Ensure the showroom is well presented and stock is displayed correctly
* Deliver efficient, friendly, and professional customer service at all times
Skills & Experience Required
* Knowledge of agricultural and horticultural equipment and parts (advantageous)
* Previous retail or showroom experience (desirable)
* Confident communicator, both face to face and over the phone
