Currently, thepany employs people operating from regional offices located across the UK with client-focused teams consistently delivering high quality services and support to the rapidly growing number of clients.
Your new role
As a proactive Principal Environmental Consultant, you will be required to work within the Environment Team on a variety of environmental permitting projects primarily in waste management, waste recycling, mineral extraction and energy. Your responsibilities and duties will include, although not be limited to;
1. Production and management of permit applications primarily for waste management facilities and minerals developments including:
2. Managing determination process
3. Managing legislative issues for clients and maintaining an awareness of how legislation impacts projects
4. Interpreting data and report writing.
5. Building and maintaining client relationships and managing expectations
6. Identifying decision makers and interpret customer requirements to generate business in the environment team and other areas of thepany.
What you'll need to succeed
7. Relevant degree in environmental sciences, or a related environmental discipline
8. Thorough understanding of UK environmental legislation and the Environmental Permitting regime in England and Wales and regulatory regime in Scotland
9. Proven skills in undertaking and assessing environmental permit applications
10. Numerate withpetent and efficient report writing skills
11. Well organised and able to prioritise workload with minimal supervision
12. Proficiency in use of IT packages (including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
13. Strong oral and writtenmunication skills in English
14. Full UK driving licence.
