Our Mission

At Ember Technology, we're not just building digital products, we're delivering high-quality, stable, and well-supported services that make a real difference to organisations and communities across Scotland and beyond. Our clients include the Scottish Government, NHS, local authorities, HSBC, and the Care Inspectorate, and our work spans everything from national-scale systems to highly specialised digital solutions.

As we continue to grow, we are strengthening our Quality Assurance and Managed Services teams. We're looking for a meticulous, curious, and highly collaborative QA & Support Analyst who can help ensure our digital platforms are reliable, accessible, and robust and who can support our clients with professionalism and confidence.

You don't need decades of experience, but you do need an analytical mindset, strong attention to detail, and the ability to understand how real users interact with complex systems.

Why Ember Technology?

Impact that Matters: Your work directly improves the experience of thousands of users across public and private services — ensuring our platforms remain stable, functional, and high-performing.

Room to Grow: We're scaling fast, offering you opportunities to shape QA practices, improve support processes, and contribute to the evolution of our testing and service management capabilities.

Culture That Values People: We hire for mindset, integrity, and potential. You'll be joining a friendly, supportive, and experienced team that values trust, ownership, and collaboration.

Autonomy with Support: No micromanagement, you'll have the space to test, investigate, and improve, while always having colleagues ready to work through challenges with you.

Hybrid + Connected: Our Glenrothes office is our hub for teamwork, creativity, and shared problem-solving. Combine this with flexible home working for a balanced, sustainable rhythm.

What You'll Work On

* Testing new features and improvements across websites, back-office systems, and Android/iOS mobile apps.
* Creating and executing detailed test plans, scripts, and evidence packs.
* Investigating and reproducing client-raised support issues, ensuring smooth triage and resolution within agreed client-specific SLAs.
* Collaborating with developers, project managers, and the Support Manager to ensure issues are understood and fixed effectively.
* Conducting functional, regression, smoke, and exploratory testing across multiple environments.
* Running accessibility tests to ensure compliance with WCAG guidelines.
* Supporting UAT cycles, guiding clients through new releases and gathering feedback.
* Preparing release notes, testing reports, and clear documentation for internal and client stakeholders.
* Contributing to Ember's test automation approach for web and apps.
* Playing an active role in our managed services, ensuring tickets are handled professionally and SLAs are met.

A Bit About You

You're methodical, organised, and naturally curious. You enjoy breaking things to understand how they work — and helping put them back together better than before. You understand how users actually behave, and you know how to translate this into structured, thoughtful testing.

You care about quality — not just finding bugs, but improving processes, polishing workflows, and helping deliver digital services that feel reliable and intuitive.

Most importantly, you bring empathy, patience, and strong communication skills. You enjoy problem-solving, supporting others, and working as part of a cross-functional team.
