Cyber Security Specialist

Salary: Circa £60,000

Location: Norwich

Contract: 12 Months FTC

This is a great job for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to make a real impact on third‑party security.

You’ll thrive here if you have experience in supplier assurance, information security auditing or security risk management, and you’re confident building strong relationships with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

If you love solving problems, spotting risks early and turning them into practical solutions – and you’re keen to grow your Cyber Security career while supporting a wide range of suppliers and corporate clients – this could be the perfect next step for you.

Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Third‑party Security (TPS) team as the go‑to specialist for supplier and client security onboarding.

You’ll work closely with internal teams, external partners and Aviva suppliers to make sure new and existing third parties meet our security standards from day one.

You’ll carry out security assessments, review controls, support supplier and client due diligence, and provide clear, expert guidance to stakeholders across the business.

Your work will help us identify and manage third‑party risks, strengthen Aviva’s security posture and support our wider Cyber Security strategy.

Responsibilities

* Contract & third‑party security oversight: Confident reviewing and negotiating security clauses and assessing the security controls of third‑party vendors.
* Information security & risk management: Skilled at carrying out security assessments, spotting risks early and putting forward workable mitigation plans.
* Compliance & standards knowledge: Good understanding of GDPR, ISO27001, NIST and similar regulatory or industry frameworks.
* Communication & stakeholder engagement: Strong communicator who can build relationships, collaborate effectively and work with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Technical & operational excellence: Able to manage several assessments at once, with strong Microsoft 365 skills (including workbooks, formulas, macros, charts and tables).

Benefits

* Salary Circa: £60,000 (depending on location, skills, experience and qualifications).
* Bonus opportunity: up to 10% of annual salary (performance based).
* Generous pension scheme – Aviva will contribute up to 14% of your contribution.
* 29 days holiday plus bank holidays, with option to buy or sell up to 5 days.
* Aviva‑funded Private Medical Benefit.
* Up to 40% discount on Aviva products and other retailer discounts.
* Up to £1,200 of free Aviva shares per year through Matching Share Plan.
* Supportive policies including parental and carer’s leave.
* Flexible benefits that suit you, including sustainability options such as cycle to work.
* Paid volunteering days (3 days) to help others.
