Teaching Assistant Grade 5- £26,403 - £28,598 pro rata Temporary- 8.00am – 4.00pm Monday, Thursday and Friday Required to start 8th June 2026 St. Anne’s C of E Primary and Nursery is seeking to appoint a highly effective Teaching Assistant to support in Year 1 and work with SEND pupils in Year 5, predominantly in a 1:1 capacity. The working pattern will be Monday in Year 1 and Thursday and Friday in Year 5. Candidates should be highly motivated, with a desire to ensure that all pupils succeed in a caring and Christian environment. We require a teaching assistant who: • Is an excellent teaching assistant with KS1 and KS2 experience • Works effectively as part of a key stage and whole school team • Can contribute to the wider school community • Will support the school’s Christian ethos. • Is able to support SEND pupils and make adaptations to meet their needs • The ability to liaise with other staff to ensure seamless support for SEND pupils • Has SEND experience, particularly in working with autistic pupils. Calculation of term time only plus two weeks’ pay Term time only plus two additional weeks’ pay is calculated on the basis of the following: • Number of ‘teaching’ weeks – 38 weeks; plus • Public (bank) holidays – 1.6 weeks (8 days); plus • Two additional weeks, inclusive of CPD – 2 weeks; plus • Individual leave entitlement - 5.4 weeks (27 days) or 6.4 weeks (32 days) Individual leave entitlement is calculated on the length of continuous service. Employees with less than 5 years’ service will receive 27 days annual leave. Employees with more than 5 years’ service will receive 32 days annual leave.
