Kirtana Consulting is seeking Manufacturing Engineers for a 6-month rolling contract in Preswick.
Role Title: Manufacturing Engineer (4 openings)
Detailed Job Description: The Manufacturing Engineer shall be responsible for implementing optimized and robust technical solutions that meet cost, quality, and schedule requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Support the implementation of optimized and robust technical solutions in response to customer requirements.
2. Assist in the implementation of engineering changes to meet customer needs and schedules efficiently.
3. Participate in technical discussions as required.
4. Manage and develop accurate bills of materials within the ERP system, ensuring valid engineering methods are used in manufacturing processes.
5. Translate design data and specifications into clear work instructions that comply with customer and regulatory standards.
6. Communicate complex technical information effectively to non-technical staff.
7. Support engineering changes from concept to delivery using proper processes.
8. Identify technical risks and work with Senior Manufacturing Engineers to mitigate them.
9. Engage with suppliers and customers in technical discussions.
10. Ensure effective data control and configuration management.
11. Support APQP activities, including manufacturing plans, process flow diagrams, PFMEAs, and control plans.
12. Maintain and develop detailed work packages and Conditions of Supply for external manufacturing partners.
13. Liaise with customers, design teams, and regulatory bodies to ensure product compliance and integrity.
14. Assist in resolving customer non-conformances.
15. Contribute to manufacturing engineering inputs for design reviews.
16. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality, such as reducing cycle times and implementing problem-solving techniques.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
* Qualified to HNC level or equivalent in a related engineering discipline.
* At least 2 years of relevant experience in a Manufacturing Engineering environment.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interfacing with customers and suppliers.
* Knowledge of engineering change processes.
* Understanding of engineering systems and continuous improvement methods.
* Familiarity with drawings and systems used by major customers like Boeing and Airbus.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access.
