Role : CNC Milling Programmer/Setter/Operator (Heidenheim control software) Location : Willenhall Salary : £15-£17/Hour DOE Hours : 08:00-17:00 Mon-Thurs, 08:00-13:00 Friday Main Purpose: To ensure all products are handled, Milled and identified in accordance with Working Practices and Procedures ensuring adherence to customer requirements in a safe manner conforming to all relevant Health and Safety regulations. The accurate programming, setting, cutting and identification of materials maximising stock utilisation and minimising any scrap of damage to both customer products and stock. The maintenance and accurate recording of all details on both the computer-based stock control system and all other supporting documentation. Promote continuous improvement processes to maximise stock productivity and minimise waste in all operational processes. Maintain and promote safe working practices and policies whilst engaged in your daily role. Accountabilities 1. Ensuring that all products are handled in the most appropriate manner to eliminate any damage, or health hazards, in accordance with Health and Safety regulations. 2. Ensuring full conformance to all the identified order requirements as presented. 3. Ensuring the computer-based stock control system, and all supporting documentation, is fully maintained and accurate at all in accordance with quality and working procedures and practices. 4. Responsible for ensuring all stock being processed is maximised to achieve the best stock utilisation possible in adherence with quality and working procedures and practices. 5. Ensuring all stock and processed products are clearly identified in accordance with both company and customer requirements at all times. 6. Support in training of other Operatives Knowledge Requirements: Knowledge on all aspects of raw materials as handled by the site. Programming knowledge for machine set-up, preparation and cutting using HEIDENHEIM control software. Understanding of materials handling for all processed products in accordance with Health and Safety regulations. Understanding of Health and Safety at Work legislation and its practical application. Understanding of the full scope of quality processes applicable to handling of materials. Understanding of continuous improvement philosophies. Qualifications – Essential: Ability to read and understand a cutting pattern to maximise stock utilisation and minimise waste. Ability to be trained and understand being a business approved stamp holder. PC literate. Self-motivated, reliant, diligent, analytical, and numerate. Qualifications – Desirable: Current valid counterbalance mechanical handling license. Machine Maintenance skills applicable to the type of equipment operated. The jobholder must familiarise themselves with the Health & Safety procedures, the applicable risk assessments, COSHH data sheets, Safe Working Procedures and machine guarding.
