In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations in the SOTOS department, ensuring production targets are met on time, on cost and to exacting standards. You’ll manage a skilled team, lead daily Comm Zone meetings, apply lean methodologies, and act as a role model for excellence, quality and safety.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Lead daily team communications, delegate tasks, and ensure completion of production activities
Monitor and drive performance through KPIs, Comm Zone meetings and visual reporting
Oversee task execution and final product checks, ensuring quality and compliance
Apply lean principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimise processes
Act as a role model for safety and continuous improvement, influencing team behaviours
Partner with Engineering, Logistics, and Procurement teams to ensure alignment across operations
Manage operator skills and training development within the team
Support customer visits and readiness reviews with confidence and professionalism
Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, work bookings and traceability records
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
A proven leader with at least 5 years’ experience in team leadership within manufacturing
Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing tools and techniques (5S, Kaizen, 8D, etc.)
Experienced in managing production against deadlines and budgets in a high-standards environment
Confident communicator with the ability to influence, delegate, and drive accountability
Comfortable with MS Office applications, including Excel at an intermediate level
Able to navigate between production and engineering environments with credibility and calm
CRITICAL OUTPUTS
Achieve monthly production targets to cost, quality and schedule
Maintain accurate documentation and traceability using QAD
Drive year-on-year cost efficiencies in line with business goals
Embed lean standards and ensure audit readiness across the department
Develop and maintain an engaged, trained, and high-performing team
