CBRE Global Workplace Solutions, a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management, is recruiting a Head of Projects to join the team located in one of the specified locations.
Purpose Of The Job
Own and deliver the business unit project plan, lead their teams in the safe delivery of projects, and ensure sufficient training and development of talent. Generate a sales pipeline to deliver revenue to the BU, secure and deliver projects on time and within financial requirements and margins, and build external relationships with clients and supply partners to deliver major projects. Ensure all projects adhere to commercial agreements/contracts, comply with statutory regulations, and meet QHSE and technical industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure the safe delivery of projects through risk and competence management.
* Recruit and retain talent for current delivery and future growth of projects.
* Provide leadership in identifying and specifying project opportunities.
* Deliver contractual commitments on secured projects.
* Ensure projects are delivered on all maintenance contracts.
* Complete projects in line with local playbooks on time, on budget and to the satisfaction of all parties.
* Identify, reduce and manage all risks (technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial or otherwise) for each project.
* Maximise profit through cost reductions and better buying of subcontractor services.
* Plan and develop long-term opportunities by creating a pipeline of opportunities.
* Liaise with colleagues and managers to determine project opportunities; create case studies to promote the business and host key decision makers on show site tours.
* Develop and manage all bids, tenders and proposals.
* Generate and secure new sales to exceed the annual financial plan.
* Seek opportunities to generate projects through innovation and different technologies.
* Lead the sales process through solutions development, presentations and consultation meetings.
* Identify and win projects through effective relationships.
* Deliver supportive business communication through guidance, review, leadership and direct contribution to management meetings, briefings, forums, correspondence, publicity and reporting.

Accountabilities
* Report to the Business Unit Leader (direct) and Divisional Project Director (indirect).
* Generate project opportunities by building strong relationships with customers and site teams.
* Full P&L responsibility for the Business Unit.
* Accountable as line manager for others.
* Compliance with CBRE policies and procedures.
* Ensure CBRE health and safety policy and processes are implemented across CBRE and subcontractors; regular audits and reviews.
Person Specification
Education
* Recognised technical qualification in Construction, Mechanical or Electrical or similar (desirable).
* Degree level qualification in Project Management (desirable).
Training
* Degree level qualification in project management, construction management or equivalent (desirable).
* Business literacy and numeracy standards.
* APM certified (desirable).
* Prince 2 certified (desirable).
* CDM regulations knowledge.
* SMSTS certified.
* Nebosh certified.
* CSCS card holder.
* IOSH (desirable).
Experience
* Proven track record safely delivering exceptional projects in M&E, FM, construction or critical environments.
* Experience developing new project opportunities.
* Proven experience managing a P&L.
* Demonstrable experience managing teams.
* Experience creating, presenting and managing bids, tenders and proposals.
Circs/Travel
Incumbents must travel occasionally to support operational delivery and participate in training and business reviews; some overnight stays may be required.
