We are seeking a motivated person to carry out duties within Theatres as a Trainee Perioperative Assistant*. We would expect the successful candidate to display good organisational skills, be kind and caring, and have the ability to work with people as part of a multidisciplinary team with ability to carry out assigned tasks effectively. Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times. Experience of working within theatre is essential.
Hours will be worked to meet the needs of the service which will include shift, weekend work & rotational nights as required, with flexibility to work over all sites in Fife. The candidate should possess an SVQ Level 3 perioperative/SVQ leve3-health care support(clinical-perioperative units) qualification.
Good communication skills both verbal and written.
A genuine interest in working within the Theatre environment is essential.

*Please note this is a Trainee post, therefore Annex 21 applies* This position is covered by Annex 21 where the period of training lasts more than one year but less than two years., pay will be as follows:
* more than one but less than two years prior to completion of training: 70 per cent of the pay band maximum of the qualified rate.
