Job Description
The post holder will be responsible, amongst other work, for the processing and presentation of applications for Domestic Violence Protection Orders ("DVPO"). The objective of DVPO's is to enhance the protection of victims and allow better management of perpetrators.In addition, the post holder will be required to manage a personal case load which includes other areas of work such as licensing, civil injunctions, crime enquiries and other civil orders that the Legal Services Department process.
The Successful Applicant
You should be a Legal Executive or have an equivalent legal qualification, with advocacy experience, preferably in the Magistrate's Court and have previous experience of working in an internal police legal department.A knowledge of police policies and procedures would be beneficial.The post will require attendance at Court on a Saturday and will therefore be subject to a rota arrangement.Your own transport and a valid driving license are essential to this role.This opportunity would suit a highly motivated and dynamic individual who can bring their wide experience to a challenging environment.
