This organisation is a real success story who have had a number of exciting developments over the last few years. This means they are now at the point where they are ready to bring in an additional person who can work with the existing Quality Engineering team to support both Supplier, Internal and customer quality affairs.
Responsibilities
* Oversee quality assurance across UK and international suppliers
* Lead problem‑solving activities (8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone) and manage corrective actions
* Drive supplier performance, NCRs and root‑cause investigations
* Support customer meetings, inspections and technical reviews
* Produce quality KPI reports and monitor defect trends
* Conduct internal audits and ensure compliance with QMS/EMS requirements
* Collaborate cross‑functionally to improve quality, efficiency and customer experience
* Contribute to continuous improvement and uphold company values
Qualifications
* Previous experience in Quality Technician / Quality Inspector / Quality Engineer role within a manufacturing environment
* Knowledge of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 (internal auditor status is a bonus)
* Experience generating and managing NCRs
* Strong problem‑solving skills using RCA, 5 Whys and Fishbone
* Practical engineering experience (e.g., fabrication, injection moulding, aluminium casting)
* Ability to read technical drawings, including GD&T
* Proficient in inspection methods, gauging and test equipment
* Confident communicating, presenting and influencing stakeholders
* Strong numeracy, attention to detail and IT skills (Microsoft Office)
* Able to prioritise and manage a varied workload
* Proactive in identifying risks and proposing solutions
* A growth mindset and enthusiasm to develop alongside the business
