Your role

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Operations and Involvement Manager to work as part of our Strategic Partnerships and Alliances Team.

This role is Homebased, with some travel around Sheffield, so the candidate will need be based locally.

Rethink Mental Illness [RMI] is a mental health charity working for the maximum quality of life for people affected by mental illness.

We [RMI] are working with citizens, the NHS, councils and other charities and community organisations in places around England to transform community mental health services and build communities that care around people affected by mental illness.

Synergy is an alliance of Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations working together across Sheffield to support individuals with a range of mental health needs. Rethink Mental Illness are the Lead Accountable Body and responsible for the oversight and management of Synergy.

We are working together to improve the way people in Sheffield receive support with their mental health, by providing access to a number of specialist and holistic services, and by changing the way that support is offered and provided. We are working to change the culture and language associated with traditional mental health provision and believe that by working collaboratively in new and innovative ways we can support people together to achieve a better quality of life.

As the Lead Accountable Body (LAB) for Synergy, we are responsible for the day to day management and relationship management of Synergy. Working closely with members of the Synergy Partnership Board, Primary Care Sheffield and the Rethink Central Alliance Team to deliver against Synergy’s strategy and delivering projects in an efficient and timely manner.

How You Will Make a Difference

As an Operations and Involvement Manager you will work alongside the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Alliances to manage the mobilisation, implementation and contractual support on behalf of Synergy VCSE Mental Health Alliance. This will involve elements of quality assurance & compliance, reporting, project mobilisation, performance and service improvement. Working alongside the Head of Strategic Partnerships and Alliances, you will maintain and develop purposeful and managed partner relationships across all existing Alliance members and nurture growth and inclusion of other VCSE organisations across Sheffield.

You will lead on delivering the co-production objectives within the programme plan. This will include supporting a group of experts by experience to be involved as equal partners in any associated workstreams within Synergy. You will facilitate shared consideration and decisions about mental health service and system change through a range of methods, bringing in insights from citizens.
