Mai-Wel is seeking an experienced People & Culture Advisor to join our People, Culture & Safety team. This is a dynamic generalist HR role suited to someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a collaborative environment, and can confidently partner with leaders across the organisation.
Reporting to the People & Culture leadership team, you will provide end-to-end HR support across a broad portfolio including recruitment, advisory, compliance, and workforce matters.
About The Role
As our People & Culture Advisor, you will:
Deliver end-to-end recruitment across diverse roles
Provide expert general HR advice and support to leaders and employees
Interpret and apply relevant Awards and industrial instruments (SCHADS experience highly regarded)
Support performance management processes and employee lifecycle matters
Assist with IR & ER matters (experience preferred, or willingness to develop capability)
Contribute to and support WHS initiatives and compliance requirements
Partner with stakeholders across programs and sites to support workforce needs
Contribute to continuous improvement of People & Culture systems and processes
This role requires someone confident operating across multiple HR functions and comfortable stepping into emerging priorities as needed.
Skills and Experiences: About You
To be successful, you will bring:
Extensive experience in a generalist HR role
Demonstrated ability to run recruitment campaigns independently
Strong Award interpretation skills
Confidence partnering with leaders across various operational areas
A collaborative, team-first mindset
Strong communication skills and sound judgement
Highly regarded (but not essential):
Experience managing IR/ER matters
Exposure to WHS frameworks and compliance
Degree qualification in Human Resources or related discipline
Mental Health First Aid certification
Experience with HRIS/payroll systems (e.g., Sage or similar)
Strong capability in HR systems, workforce data analysis and reporting, including experience using tools such as Power BI to interpret and present workforce insights
