We’re currently recruiting for a Transport Coordinator to be based at our site in our Sherburn in Elmet, North Yorkshire for our transport operations for our customer – British Gypsum. You will be working Monday – Friday, rotating shift of 05:30-14:00 / 13:30-22:00
Pay, benefits and more:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £29,500. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
* Co-ordinate the transport operations on site and on customer premises to meet both customer and company expectations
* Ensure vehicle defects are reported and actioned in a timely manner
* Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are investigated in a timely manner
* Continually look to improve the service we provide offering ideas and recommendations as necessary.
* To build and maintain a strong partnership with the transport functions and drivers to ensure regular communication is delivered.
* Driver brief and de-briefing as well as data entry of statistics, customer reports and KPI’S

What you’ll do on a typical day:

What you need to succeed at XPO:
* Good administrative skills
* Have a positive attitude
* Experience working in a Transport role
* Excellent communication skills – you’ll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders
* Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
* Being proactive in identifying and resolving any potential issues before they occur
