Overview
We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist (SaLT) to be the Team Lead for the West Locality. The West Locality team has around 15 staff and works with Central and East Locality Teams to provide speech and language therapy for Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly. The post holder will be part of the children\'s speech and language therapy leadership team, ensuring a quality, evidence-based service that meets the needs of children and families and is a positive place to work. The role may include maintaining and developing clinical skills with a small community caseload, and provide assessment and/or intervention. The community caseload may include Dysphagia if competent in RCSLT and of interest.
Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the speech and language therapy locality team, including line management and allocation of clinical cases.
* Monitor and report on performance of the locality team; contribute to service-wide projects and forums.
* Provide specialist assessments, intervention and advice for children and young people with Speech, Language and Communication Needs; swallow assessments if competencies are held.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Qualified Speech and Language Therapist with appropriate registration and competencies; experience in leadership/management preferred.
