Job Description
Client Service Manager required. Our client is a well-known and respected HVAC contractor with the majority of their accounts operating within the commercial sector, including restaurants, hotels, and leisure centres. They also serve clients operating sites within healthcare, industrial, or education settings. They have a nationwide presence with regional offices throughout the UK supporting over 130 employees and generating a turnover in excess of £20M. They offer installation, service, maintenance, fault finding, and repair on a range of HVAC equipment, predominantly air conditioning, chillers, AHUs, ventilation, and commercial heating.
Our client's business is set up as an Employee-Owned Trust, effectively making all employees collective owners of the business. This setup means employees have a say in the company's management and are involved in decision-making processes. As the company generates profits, these are distributed to employees, fostering a long-term view of business success where employees are vested in the company's performance and longevity.
The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for a P&L of approximately £1.3M. The day-to-day responsibilities include efficiently managing the service and maintenance contract and operations throughout the patch, ensuring client satisfaction. The Manager will oversee and manage a team of mobile engineers, driving service quality standards and productivity.
The Manager must also ensure continuous improvements, maintain and grow client relationships to secure contract extensions and remedial works, and monitor profit and loss figures along with controlling costs. The ideal candidate will be a stable, committed, driven, and commercially astute service or operations manager with proven experience in HVAC technical mastery, management, leadership, client relationships, and P&L control.
Requirements
* Proven service management or operations management experience leading and planning work for a team of engineers.
* HVAC technical background with knowledge of heating, cooling, wet systems, and plant rooms.
* Confidence in leading technical discussions with clients regarding systems, service, maintenance works, schedules, and remedial works.
* Proven client-facing and customer service skills, with experience in service and maintenance contract frameworks and negotiations.
* Drive for continuous professional development, progression, and increased responsibilities.
* Confidence with P&L, budget, and cost control.
Salary & Benefits
* Basic Salary: £50,000-£60,000 DOE
* Car allowance circa £5k per annum
* Annual bonus targeted on net profit, service, compliance, and engineer development
* Employee-owned trust profit sharing scheme, increasing with years served
