We are currently working with a pre-IPO international fintech, who are looking for a Financial Services Regulatory Lawyer to join their team on a permanent basis.
The company has achieved great success to date and are revolutionary in their approach. Having reached an exciting juncture in their growth story, they are looking for an experienced financial services regulatory lawyer to get involved in a broad range of legal matters which will include:
* Advising on a range of U.S. financial regulations, including federal and state consumer protection laws, money transmission laws and gift card regulations
* Providing legal support on BNPL offerings, ensuring compliance with state and federal laws such as Regulation E, Regulation B, Regulation Z, and Regulation V.
* Advising on e-commerce, payment processing, and deposit-related matters, including privacy and data security issues
* Overseeing licensing requirements in multiple jurisdictions
* Offering strategic counsel on cryptocurrency products and related financial regulations
* Developing and maintaining company policies, templates, and processes reflecting the latest developments within the industry
* Providing training for internal teams on best practices and risk management
To be considered for the role you should:
* Be a US qualified lawyer
* Have extensive knowledge in U.S. consumer financial regulations, privacy laws, and fintech licensing frameworks (familiarity with crypto and investment products is strongly preferred)
* Be an open-minded lawyer who can think outside the box and be open to new ways of doing things
