Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Pharmacist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in patient care, with a focus on medication management and administration. The Pharmacist will collaborate closely with healthcare professionals to provide optimal pharmaceutical care.
Duties
* Review and interpret prescriptions to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of medication therapy.
* Provide expert advice on the safe use of medications, including potential side effects and interactions.
* Administer medications as required, ensuring adherence to protocols and guidelines.
* Conduct patient consultations to assess medication therapy and provide counselling on health management.
* Monitor patient progress and make recommendations for adjustments in therapy as necessary.
* Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and patient interactions.
* Collaborate with medical staff, particularly in ICU settings, to develop comprehensive treatment plans.
* Stay updated on new medications, therapies, and best practices in pharmacology.
Qualifications
* Bachelor'sdegree in Pharmacy or equivalent qualification; registration with the relevant pharmacy council is essential.
* Previous experience in an ICU environment is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology as it relates to pharmacotherapy.
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient care and education.
* Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team while demonstrating leadership when required.
