We’re hiring a Senior Architectural Technician to join a high-growth, client-side property investment and development business, headquartered in Birmingham. With a portfolio valued in the multi-billions, this is a rare opportunity to take on a senior technical role at the heart of a business driving major urban regeneration and mixed-use development across the UK.
About the Role
You’ll work directly within the in-house development team, supporting a wide range of large-scale commercial, residential, and mixed-use projects. You’ll take the technical lead on design development and be responsible for detailed drawing packages, compliance, and project delivery, from feasibility through to construction.
We are specifically looking for someone with hands-on experience using LiDAR software in architectural applications, including 3D modelling, point cloud data interpretation, and integrating LiDAR scans into BIM workflows. This is a key requirement for the role.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the production of high-quality technical drawings and specifications
Interpret and integrate LiDAR scan data into Revit and CAD workflows
Coordinate with internal development, planning, and delivery teams
Ensure compliance with UK Building Regulations and relevant codes
Liaise with external consultants, local authorities, and contractors
Contribute to design review and value engineering exercises
Support junior technicians and promote best practice in technical delivery Requirements
Proven expertise working with LiDAR software and point cloud integration
Advanced Revit and AutoCAD skills essential
Experience working across RIBA stages, particularly stages 3–5
Strong knowledge of UK planning and building regulations
Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment
Experience working on large-scale residential or mixed-use projects preferred What’s on Offer
